Alternative Sunday Lunch

"No that's not how you do it, this is how you should do it". "No, that's a shite idea, this is better...", and the beers flow and, "Ahh, let's get some burgers." There's nothing quite like sitting down for some grub with chums to challenge yourself and set new ideas in motion. Nor is there usually any match for the post-boozup's light-to-middling hangover's ability to foster new ways of thinking and looking at the world.

If only the two could be combined! Well there's Sunday lunch, but I'm not thirty-five and I don't like Prosecco, so isn’t it about time someone offered an Alternative Sunday Lunch?

One such startup offering a pop-up solution is MeatHammer Ltd. Give them a place where people meet – be it a pub, festival, or any general fiasco and they'll give you a Sunday lunch experience like no other. After honing their skills on the savagely demanding bike courier coffeehouse scene, these folks are now swapping seven o'clock starts for seven types of salsa and their first point of impact is the Sunday Diner at Nice 'n' Sleazy.

These days, as we all become more innovative, as we all – frankly – drink more and as we all look for spaces in which to meet up, where part-formed ideas of the night before can form new ventures of the future, we’re all going to need these alternative lunch venues and I for one, can’t wait for the next.
